Goal
As part of a broader initiative to optimize store control, design consistency, and lease verification across North America, our firm was hired to perform as-built scans of several retail locations across the United States. The project’s goal was to provide the client’s international head office with precise spatial documentation for each site—regardless of state or typology—in order to facilitate better cross-border coordination, asset management, and design uniformity throughout their U.S. retail network.
Method
To meet the demands of a geographically distributed portfolio, we flew out our mobile scanning team equipped with the Matterport scanner adapted to varied in-store conditions. Every store was digitally captured using a combination of LiDAR point cloud scanning and 360° high-resolution imagery, allowing us to generate accurate digital twins accessible remotely to stakeholders across different time zones and departments.
Thanks to our streamlined international workflow, raw data was uploaded to cloud platforms within hours of capture, enabling real-time access to interactive walkthroughs. Our team's bilingual and cross-border communication capabilities were critical in maintaining project fluidity and accuracy.
